CAC Unleashes Housing, Car Loans for Staff at 35th Anniversary Celebration

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has kicked off its 35th anniversary with a symbolic staff fitness walk in Abuja, announcing blockbuster staff welfare perks including special housing and vehicle loans.

This bold initiative underscores CAC’s reforms to solidify its status as Nigeria’s premier digital business registration powerhouse.

The event highlights the agency’s shift to seamless, online services while boosting employee morale for enhanced service delivery.

Registrar-General of CAC, Ishaq Magaji, speaking amid enthusiastic staff turnout, declared: “In the spirit of this 35th anniversary celebration, we are announcing a special housing loan to staff. We are also announcing a special vehicle loan to staff. We will not relent until we make CAC a world class agency in Nigeria.”

Magaji spotlighted CAC’s digital leap from a single Garki office to a global, 24/7 platform serving 250 million Nigerians with no need for physical visits, a boon for ease of doing business.

He highlighted the key milestones to include deregistering over 400,000 companies in 2025, cleaning out shell firms for investor trust, gifting 250,000 free MSME registrations through SMEDAN collaboration, and launching the Beneficial Ownership Register as a global transparency benchmark.

“You just visit our Beneficial Ownership Register. Nowhere to hide.” Magaji said.

Magaji pledged a CAC-managed hospital by 2026 for staff and retirees, zero outstanding claims, and career boosts fueling voluntary participation:

“We have improved their welfare. These are the incentives. We are doing it to build their morale and to ensure we oil the workforce for service delivery.” He stated.
