Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State on Monday inaugurated two new roads measuring a total of 5.8 kilometres in Maiduguri, the state capital.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the roads are the 2.1km Zannari Road and drain; rehabilitated 626m Sheikh Abba Aji Road, both in London-Ciki, and the 3.1km Bintu-Sugar Road and drain in Ngomari.
Speaking at the event, Zulum said that the project was a fulfilment of his campaign promise to the people.
Earlier, the Chairman of the state’s roads maintenance agency, Sadu Abdullahi, said the Zulum administration constructed 35 roads across the state in the past three years. (NAN)
