By Patrick Isaac
The Obedient Movement Worldwide has suspended Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate,.Peter Obi and key figures like Tanko Yunusa with immediate effect.
The announcement came at a press conference in Abuja, where a faction accused them of straying from the movement’s ideals of accountability, anti-corruption, and good governance, core to its 2022 rise through youth-driven social media and grassroots efforts.
Barry Johnson, self-proclaimed International Coordinator of the rebranded group, said they are reclaiming the original vision and listed Obi, Yunusa, and others as suspended.
The faction urged supporters to stay calm and law-abiding amid internal fixes.
The move is set to spark backlash from fans and analysts as Nigeria eyes future elections.
