ECOWAS Warns Public Against Fake Recruitment Scams, Fraudulent Tenders

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has called on the general public to ignore fraudulent recruitment advertisements and false calls for tenders circulating on fake websites using its name.
A statement from the Communication Directorate of the ECOWAS Commission explained that these scams are designed to deceive individuals and commit fraud.
ECOWAS emphasised that it does not charge any fees for hiring staff or consultants, nor for participation in tenders or public procurement processes. The organization never requests bank details or payments at any stage.

ECOWAS urged everyone to remain vigilant against false information and online scams, which constitute cybercrime punishable by law.
