Eid-el-Fitr: Speakers Abbas, Greets Muslims, Herald New Dawn of Peace and Prosperity

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas and Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, have congratulated Nigerian Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan, heralding a new dawn for the country through sustained prayers and unity

In his Sallah message marking the end of the Holy Month on Thursday, Speaker Abbas praised Allah for His mercy amid Nigeria’s socio-economic, security, and political challenges.

“Alhamdulillah, we have witnessed the Holy Month of Ramadan peacefully.

“May Allah (SWT) accept all our acts of ibadah and reward us abundantly. Our Christian brothers and sisters are also observing Lent, a divine reminder that we are one people united by a common good.” Abbas said.

He credited divine intervention through prayers for the nation’s unity, peace, and stability, urging Muslims to uphold Ramadan virtues like piety, selflessness, and charity.
