NNPCL Slams Second Petrol Hike in 4 Days, N967 Per Litre Amid Crude Surge

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has jacked up premium motor spirit (PMS) prices for the second time in four days, hitting N967 per litre from N960, a N7 increase.

NNPCL stations in Abuja and environs rolled out the new rate Saturday, following an earlier surge from N875 to N960 per litre.

Other depots in the capital now charge N967 to N1,000 per litre, squeezing motorists further.

The hikes track Saturday’s 9% crude oil spike, with Brent and West Texas Intermediate topping $90 per barrel.

This echoes Dangote Refinery’s Monday gantry price rise, blamed on Middle East turmoil and global crude volatility.
