The protest centred on Claus 60 subsection (3) on the proposed legislation, which addresses the mode of transmission of election results whether electronically or manually.

The rowdy exchange exposed deep divisions ahead of future elections, with speakers trading barbs over transparency and electoral integrity.

House leadership struggled to restore order, postponing further debate amid shouts and disruptions. Opposition figures vowed to escalate the fight, signaling prolonged battles over e-voting as Nigeria eyes electoral improvements.
