Speaker Abbas Condemns Maiduguri Bombings, Urges Security Action

Speaker of the House of Representatives,Tajudeen Abbas has condemned the bomb blasts in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Abbas described the attack as heinous, condemnable, and unfortunate, while commiserating with victims.
Suspected terrorists struck Monday night around 7:02 p.m., detonating bombs simultaneously at Monday Market and a security post at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. The attacks killed and injured an unspecified number of people.
Abbas lamented the timing during the Holy Month of Ramadan, stating it proves the terrorists oppose not just Islam, but humanity itself.
He called for collective action to end terrorism, banditry, and crime nationwide, urging security forces to intensify efforts.
The Speaker extended condolences to families of the deceased and consolation to the injured.
