Tyla Secures Second Straight Grammy in Best African Music Performance

South African star, Tyla has won her second consecutive Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards held yesterday in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old amapiano sensation triumphed again, this time for “Push 2 Start,” outshining competitors including Burna Boy, Davido, and Ayra Starr, repeating her 2024 victory for “Water.”

Tyla’s back-to-back wins mark her as the first artist to claim the category twice, solidifying African music’s rising global dominance at the Grammys.
