Wike Denies Suit Against Atiku’s Candidacy

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has distanced himself from the alleged suit against the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democracy Congress (PDP) Atiku Abubakar.

This followed reports from some media outfits that Governor Wike called for the removal of the PDP flags in Rivers State Government House

The media had reported that Governor Wike and one Chieftain of the PDP, Mr Newgent Ekamon had dragged PDP to court, seeking the removal of Atiku in 2023 presidential election

Wike has debunked the allegation, saying he was focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of River

He warned that no one should call his name if the person looses the forthcoming election.

“I don’t know anything about the so called suit. I did not ask anyone to file any suit for me”

“People have called me that I went to court against Atiku Abubakar.I want to state categorically that I didn’t go to court. I just want to say it for Nigerians to know. I have kept quiet. I am busy with delivering the dividends of democracy.

“If they lose election, nobody should call my name. I have told the candidate. “If I wanted to go to court, I would have gone to court within two weeks.“ It is the candidate’s group that are doing all these things. Let the world hear. t” he stated.

Wike who noted that it was the work of mischievous people who believe they would destroy his name, urged them to desist from their plot and think of how the party would win the forthcoming election.
