Obedient Leader Raises Alarm Over Armed Attack on Peter Obi in Benin

National Coordinator of the Obedient Movement, Yunusa Tanko has raised alarm over assassination attempt on former Presidential candidate, Peter Obi and ADC leaders during Olumide Akpata’s defection event in Benin City.

Tanko disclosed that armed thugs trailed the convoy from ADC Secretariat to Chief John Odigie-Oyegun’s residence, Tuesday, firing at the gate and wrecking vehicles.

In a tense statement Tanko tagged, “Breaking Red Alert in Benin, Edo State, PO and ADC leadership are under siege, democracy is in danger.”

Security agencies face pressure for swift probes to protect opposition gatherings and prevent rallies turning violent.
