Reps Mourn Oyo Lawmaker, Olaide Adewale Akinremi

The House of Representatives on Wednesday adjourned plenary over the death of a Lawmaker, Olaide Adewale Akinremi, popularly known as Jagaban.

The Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas announced the passing of the Lawmaker who died on Wednesday morning after a brief illness, at the plenary.

Akinremi, aged 51, represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo state, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He served as Chairman of the House Committee on Science Research Institutions.

Abbas said the Lawmaker was a very good member of the Green Chamber and that his death was a significant loss to the house.

A minute’s silence was observed for him and the house adjourned plenty to Thursday 11, 2024.
