The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has passed a vote of confidence on the party’s National Chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu.
This is sequel to a motion by the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, seconded by Ishola Balogun Fulani, a member from Kwara State.
The vote of confidence emanated from resignation of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) Senator Walid Jibrin and his replacement with a former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara.
According to Elumelu, the motion for the vote of confidence is based on the performance of the Ayu-led National Working Committee(NWC) in winning the last Osun governorship election.
