Reps Seek Justice for Slain Corps Member

The House of Representatives has urged the Inspector General of Police, (IGP), Koyade Egbetokun to Identify the killers
of a Corps Member, Miss Chllya Grace Silas and bring the assailants to book.

The house also urged the IGP to ensure speedy delivering of justice of the case.

Moving the motion at plenary on Tuesday, Beni Lai from Plateau state who sponsored the bill noted that Chalya who was the only child of his parents was killed on Wednesday October 18, in Kaduna by unknown persons.

Lai urged that oversight on security should be strengthened to end killings in the country, most especially, corps members.

The house mandated the youths development to review the safety of corps members as they fulfil their one year compulsory national service.
