Nigeria-Türkiye Ties Get Major Trade Security Boost

Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar has reaffirmed commitment to stronger ties with Türkiye.

He shared this in a Monday statement from Abuja, through his media aide, Alkasim Abdulkadir.

This followed Tuggar’s talks with Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Ankara, ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s state visit.

The meeting focused on boosting political, economic, security, and global ties.

Fidan praised Nigeria’s role in West African peace and leadership while Tuggar pushed for more trade and investment in construction, manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure.

Both countries noted rising economic links and called for business partnerships,
eyeing deeper military and defence cooperation.

Tuggar said the talks show the growing strategic bond, built on sovereignty, cooperation, and real partnerships with confidence in bigger wins ahead.
