Kwali Mix-Up Resolved: PDP Spokesman Credits Cross-Party Sort for Recovered Ballots
By Ifeyinwa Austine
PDP Press Secretary Comrade Mohammed Musa Yerima has blamed a simple sorting snag for delayed officials and missing ballots at Pai Ward polling units, praising multi-party teamwork for a swift fix.
Materials from the RAC centre got jumbled by ad-hoc staff, Yerima explained. “Some ballot papers mixed with other units, we sorted it with colleagues from all parties.
Humans err, but we recovered the 830 papers diplomatically.”
That’s the full voter count for a unit, he noted, now safely with presiding officers as voting kicked off.
Yerima hailed the recovery amid time pressures, spotlighting new INEC Chair Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan’s early test ahead of 2027 polls.
