Nigeria Shines at Paris International Agricultural Show with Dedicated Pavilion, Ministerial Visit

Nigeria has made a strong showing at the Paris International Agricultural Show, which opened on February 22, 2026.

The event features a dedicated Nigeria Pavilion focused on professional exchanges between key players in Nigeria’s agricultural sector and counterparts from France and beyond.

In a statement, French Embassy in Nigeria said the pavilion, primarily supported and funded by the Franco-Nigerian Business Council (CAFN/FNBC), established by the French and Nigerian presidents in June 2021 spotlights agriculture as a core pillar of the Nigeria-France partnership.

It comes ahead of the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, on May 11-12, offering a prime platform to forge new ties and bolster existing ones in agricultural and agri-food ecosystems.

Adding prestige, French Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Noel Barrot visited the Nigeria Pavilion.

Exhibitors include major Nigerian firms such as Flour Mills of Nigeria, BUA Foods, Dangote, Access Bank, and Zenith Bank, alongside Soilless Farm Labs. Federal government representatives and delegations from several Nigerian states are also attending.

Around 100 Nigerian companies from diverse agri-sectors including livestock, dairy, field crops, coffee, seeds, fertilizers, cosmetics, agri-food, agritech, import/export, distribution, and agricultural transport.are slated to visit Paris for the show.

The event underscores Nigeria’s push to expand agricultural partnerships globally amid efforts to boost food security and exports.
