House Passes FCTA 2026 Budget Bill for Second Reading

The House of Representatives has passed the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) 2026 Appropriation Bill for second reading.

Read by the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu the bill authorises the issuance from the FCT Administration Account’s Statutory Revenue Fund of a total sum of two point two trillion naira for the financial year from January 1 to December 31, 2026.

The breakdown of the proposal shows 1.65 trillion naira allocated for Personnel Costs, about 378 billion naira for Overhead expenses while 165.7 billion naira earmarked for Capital Projects.

The bill now advances for further scrutiny and related matters.
