ADC Expels Bala, Abejide, Top Leaders in Factional Purge
By Patrick Isaac
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expelled several prominent members, including House of Representatives member Leke Abejide, during its national convention on Tuesday.
Those sacked include former deputy national chairman, Nafiu Bala, Kenneth Ehiator, Stella Chukwu, and Elias Adiukwu.
The move, led by a faction loyal to ex-Senate President David Mark, highlights deepening party divisions.
Senator Binos Yaroe (Adamawa South) moved the expulsion motion, which delegates approved.
Reasons weren’t disclosed, but it escalates the ADC’s leadership crisis ahead of future elections. Efforts to contact the expelled members failed.
