ADC Switches National Convention Venue to Rainbow Event Center Amid Approval Hurdles

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced a last-minute venue change for its National Convention, now set for Tuesday, April 14, at the Rainbow Event Center in Abuja.

The party cited challenges in securing approvals for its original choices, Eagle Square and the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

ADC had formally requested Eagle Square from Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike’s office, but received neither approval nor rejection in time.

The new site offers a central location and easy access for delegates and stakeholders arriving from across Nigeria. Party leaders say it supports a coordinated, inclusive event that highlights the convention’s national importance.

The gathering will unite ADC leaders, delegates, and supporters to bolster internal structures and gear up for future political moves.
