Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has withdrawn his case against the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State ahead of the November 16, 2024 Governorship Election in the state.

Senator Ibrahim had filed a suit case against Ondo State Governor at the Federal High Court Abuja where he challenged the gubernatorial primary election of the APC held recently in Ondo state.

He claimed that there was no voting in his Senatorial district and a larger part of the State.

In a notice of withdrawal filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja with suit no FHC/ABJ/CS/588/2024, Ibrahim discontinued the suit against all the defendants in the interest of all concerned.

Briefing newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja, Ibrahim said that the suit was withdrawn due to the intervention of President Bola Tinubu and his assurances to improve internal democracy within the APC.

He concluded that the withdrawal was his cake gift on the occasion of the President’s first anniversary.

Senator Ibrahim said that this development is to improve internal democracy which the President has promised.
