JAMB Debunks Fake 394 UTME Result Slip Circulating Online

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has dismissed as fake a viral Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result slip claiming a candidate scored 394 out of 400 in the 2026 exam.

The purported slip, shared on X, named female candidate Okon Winniefred Sampson as the top scorer.

In a Sunday statement by spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB expressed alarm at its widespread sharing, even among informed Nigerians.

The board highlighted several red flags: the slip uses a fabricated template, lacks the official format, features an irregular registration number (notably the “20269” pattern), and shows multiple inconsistencies visible on casual inspection.

JAMB stressed that current UTME results are view-only via official channels, no downloadable or printed slips exist yet.

The board urged the public to ignore the forgery and rely solely on official platforms for accurate results.
