By Ifeyinwa Ike
A delegation from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission, representing President Dr. Omar Touray and Commissioner for Human Development and Social Affairs , Professor Fatou Sow Sarr, visited Souguéta a sub-prefecture in Guinea’s western Kindia Region alongside national counterparts.
The team distributed essential food and non-food items to 2024 flood response beneficiaries while engaging directly with them to assess the aid’s effectiveness and impact.
Each household received a comprehensive package: two 50kg bags of rice, two 25kg containers of cooking oil, a carton of washing soap, clothing, a mattress, household utensils, and a mat.
These supplies aim to boost resilience and improve living standards for affected communities.
