Tinubu Takes Oath of Office as President of Nigeria

Bola Tinubu has been sworn in and has taken oath of office as the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

He was sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola on Monday, May 29, 2023 at the Eagles Square in Abuja to become the 16th president of Nigeria since the independence in 1960.

Tinubu’s oath of office taking was preceded by the swearing in of Kashim Shettima, as the Vice President of Nigeria
