The former President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has been found guilty of all 34 counts by a New York Jury,

Mr. Trump, the 45th president of the USA, was convicted of violating the law by falsifying business records to cover up a $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.

This historic verdict marks the first time a former U.S. president has been convicted of a crime.

Trump is set to be sentenced on July 11, four days before the Republican National Convention.

He faces penalties ranging from a fine to four years in prison on each count, although it’s expected he would be sentenced for the offenses concurrently, and not consecutively.

The jury of 12 New Yorkers sided with prosecutors who said that Trump authorized the plan to falsify checks and related records to prevent voters from learning of an alleged sexual encounter with Daniels.
